High Fructose Corn Syrup Makes You Feel Sick

Unless you have been living under a rock, a lot has been said about High Fructose Corn Syrup (HFCS) these last few years.  The talk has been about how bad it is for your health and the endless rebuttals by it's supporters, the big United States based food companies.  These big food companies like to use HFCS as an alternative sweetener to sugar because it's cheaper to move around and produce.

On TV you've probably heard the ads "High Fructose Corn Syrup is okay when eaten in moderation".  These ads are funded by the big food companies that produce products with HFCS.  The problem with that statement (while true for *some* people) is that almost EVERY product on the market uses it as a sweetener.  They do however fail to mention what happens when it's not eaten in moderation.

Consumption of High Fructose Corn Syrup is proven to cause diabetes, obesity, and other health issues.  It's eaten in vast quantities by almost every man, women, and child in the United States.  The United States is the biggest producer and consumer of HFCS.  Is it any surprise that the country has severe health problems?  It's been this way since the early 1980's.  Prior to that time, things were made out of sugar.  It does not take a PhD. to see the correlation of when U.S. heath began it's decline and when the food industry started using HFCS as a sweetener.

This isn't another article about the bad heath effects of HFCS.  There are millions of published research papers available online about the subject.

However, few (if any) mention a specific symptom of HFCS consumption.

Do you wake up each morning with a stuffy and runny nose, and or sinus pressure?  Does it feel like you smoke 6 packs of cigarettes each day, but you've never touched a cigarette in your life.  Do you often find yourself sneezing several times after waking and at a specific moment in the day?  After you sneeze, does it smell like pollen or some other "sweet" aroma?  Does it feel as if you have hay fever?

The symptoms I described above are from consuming High Fructose Corn Syrup.  Many people in the United States suffer from these symptoms almost daily.  The sad part is that most have yet to make the connection between the symptoms and what they eat. Symptoms may vary from mild to severe, to the point where it's almost impossible to breath because so much mucus is clogging up you respiratory system.  Some of the worst case symptoms go as far as having a clear "water like" mucus just flowing out of your nose.  It may sound disgusting, but what should really disgust you is that corporate greed has cashed in on the misfortune.  Ever heard of Mucinex?  Only in the United States do these type of things happen.

The good news is that people in this country are finally starting to wake up to the facts.  There has lately been a move by some pretty large food companies to go back to using sugar (cane or beet) in their products.  If you suffer from the side effects of consuming HFCS, you need immediately stop and take a closer look at what you buy to eat.  It is possible to completely omit HFCS from your diet when you pay attention to food labels and ingredients.  Only buy stuff that specifically says it's made with REAL SUGAR or specifically says that it contains NO HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP.  In about 1 week, you'll start to see a dramatic improvement in your health, weight, and mornings.
